What platforms is GONE Fishing on?

GONE Fishing is available on Steam for Windows. That is currently the only platform. The store lists Windows only — no macOS, no Linux, and no console version announced for PS5, Xbox or Switch.

The game released out of Early Access into 1.0 on October 20, 2026. It is not free: the store price is $9.99, frequently discounted.

Platform status

Platform Status Notes
Steam (Windows) Available The only official release; Windows 10 64-bit or later
Steam Deck Playable, unverified Proton runs it; no official Verified badge at launch
PS5 Not announced No PlayStation version has been announced
Xbox Series X|S Not announced No Xbox version has been announced
Nintendo Switch Not announced No Switch version has been announced
Mac / Linux Not available Windows only on the store

“Not announced” is not the same as “never” — the developers have said 1.0 is not the end of the game. But as of this capture there is no store listing, no announcement and no roadmap entry for any console version.

PC requirements

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 (64-bit) Windows 10 (64-bit)
CPU Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Intel Core i7-12400 / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM 6 GB 12 GB
GPU NVIDIA GTX 1070 / AMD RX 5700 NVIDIA RTX 3060 / AMD RX 6700 XT
DirectX 11 12
Storage 6 GB 6 GB

The minimum GPU is unusually high for a stylised game — a GTX 1070 as a floor rules out most laptops with integrated graphics. If you are on a thin-and-light, check before buying.

Steam Deck

GONE Fishing runs on Steam Deck through Proton, but there is no official Verified rating at the time of capture. Practically that means:

  • It launches and plays, and the game supports controllers with remappable bindings.
  • The fishing minigame needs precise timing on the tension bar, which works better with a mouse than a thumbstick.
  • It is a 3D first-person game on a small screen with dark scenes — expect to turn brightness up.

Treat “Playable, unverified” as the honest label: fine for the loop, not the ideal way to chase a Legendary.

Xbox and PS5

Neither exists. There is no Xbox store listing, no PlayStation store listing, and no announcement. If you search for “gone fishing xbox” you will find the unrelated Xbox achievement for the game Fishing Planet and a Ghost Recon Breakpoint side mission also called Gone Fishing — neither is this game.

One thing to watch: the developers have shipped controller support and DualSense features on PC, which suggests console builds are technically plausible. That is speculation, not a confirmed plan.

Where to buy

Buy from the Steam store page for app 3645890. There is no Epic, GOG or Microsoft Store release. Key resellers exist, but the game is cheap enough that the safe option costs almost nothing extra.
